How to get our service:

We strongly recommend never open laser units just because of curiousity, hoping to improve its performance without clear understanding how it works, what can be modified and how. Any unathorized intervention may cause serious additional repair or re-adjustment. Most beyond repair cases were the result of such barbarian interventions. Even if you decided to take out cover from the unit, please don't touch optical elements and never open laser guns. Even such easy thing as the decision to clean infrared filters with a solvent resulted by serious damage of these filters and stop of production. Here is a picture, you can see that left pair of gun covers has an opaque damaged filters and right pair (taken from other unit to compare) is good:

First of all please determine for yourself (or with help of your local Noritsu engineer) that the problem is within the laser unit, and not outside it. Please understand that any received laser unit will be invoiced because there is no clearly visible distinction between a good one and a bad one. We are able to improve any laser units (even brand new from factory), because of minor quality of factory adjustment. Thus, even if you have AOM driver or others failed, but mistakenly decide to ship the laser unit for repair, it will be refurbished, readjusted, tested and shipped back to you in perfect condition, and of course you will have to pay.

If you have decided that you need help, please contact us by e-mail. We require information about you: name, company, address for shipping back, telephone number. Please tell us the serial number of your laser unit (it is on a sticker on the top cover, it looks like A2904444 - example is for 3001 Type A) and a brief explanation of the problem. You may describe Error codes, or just the name of a common problem if you find it in our list. In case of something new or not easy understandable, please e-mail us the scans of the defective pictures you have made. We will provide you estimated costs, terms and further instructions.

How to create a strong and safe package:

Remeber! Good packaging is very important for high-value equipment. Please put every laser unit into a double box. This means cover laser unit by bubble wrap, than put into smaller internal box, then use again bubble wrap (or peanuts) and then put into bigger outer box. This would be safe. Otherwise you have a risc to get a serious problem, like on the following photo:

Please do not use polyfoam while packaging. Here is an example to show you how it works when polyfoam has been used instead of peanuts:

Please ship to us the only laser units in clean condition. Please delete dust from all the sides and from all wires and connectors. Please do not ship AOM drivers, boards, additional wires, brackets etc. unless we asked about.

The only exerption is QSS32-33 Type A. If the problem is "Error 6105, G Laser Control Error" Laser Driver J390973 must be shipped together with Laser unit. Repaired unit might require J390973 with implemented modification. Please use this driver exactly with repaired Green gun. Never connect any other laser gun to this PCB.

Answers on some frequently asked questions:

The standard period of time we need to perform all processes is up to three days. Some repairs could take longer. Please don't forget to inform us about address and shipping method. We'll ship your laser back as soon as we'll be sure it's ok and all information we need from you will be here.

Three basic operations required after getting laser back to minilab: paper centering, Laser beam alignment and Initial setup. All of them are in the Service Menu. Please refer to your Service manual for more information or ask your local Noritsu engineer for help.

The lifetime of repaired laser unit might be widely different as it is also with new lasers. The physical processes inside laser guns are not completely investigated by modern science... In theory, we refurb laser gun and it should work the same 5000 hours as before. But the real result might be around 80-90% because there are many hidden circumstances which can not be considered.

Should we find that any laser gun from your laser unit is beyond repair, we use our own custom-made guns to fit instead. Such repairs will take longer, because we need an additional time to build, set up and test custom-made gun in the particular layout. We produce a few guns per month, semiconductor Blue (450 nm) and SHG Green (532 nm) in models to fit QSS30 and QSS33 series lasers. Please do not ask us to sell any of guns separately, we do not sell parts.

For those who want us to repair AGFA DPSS lasers. Please note that AGFA D-LAB DPSS GREEN and BLUE lasers are basically the same as Noritsu's QSS3001/3101 Type A. The only difference is factory preset with higher emission. Thus, we are able to help you.

Please also note that we do only repairs of existing customer's units and do not support repair exchange program. In addition, we do not have any of mirrors, polygons and other critical parts, so, please be sure your units are complete and packed well to avoid any damage in shipment.
