6076 Polygon Mirror Control Error:
This error appears if the system couldn't stabilize Polygon rotating speed at 1380 +/- 7 Hz according synchro impulses getting from AOM drivers. The symptoms are similar to 6073 Synchronouos sensor error, but the system detects strong impulses instead of weak ones when 6073 pops up. The source of problem could be Polygon mirror assembly, but this device is very reliable, so the possible problems are: Laser Control PCB, Laser I/O PCB, power supplies or... pulsation of one of the laser guns. In last case laser repair is required, but prior test of AOM Drivers is highly recommended. In mostly cases you are not able to print anything. But sometime it is possible to get something like on the picture below.
Refer Service Manual for more information about this error. Please never disassemble Polygon Mirror device and never put any greese to there. Thank you.
